The axes of the EIH

The Hospital Excellence Index (IEH) analyzes the Spanish public and private hospital centers with the greatest commitment to the quality and sustainability of a universal health system.

To prepare it, the ICGEA takes into account parameters such as quality of care, hospital service, well-being and satisfaction perceived by the patient, as well as innovative capacity, personalized care and efficiency in the use of assigned resources.

The IEH is prepared based on three axes: IEH General – the 10 best centers at the national level –, IEH regional – the five best in each CC. AA – and IEH by specialties – the three best, according to specialty.

To prepare this exhaustive analysis, the ICGEA has carried out 2,100 surveys of health professionals in Spain from different hospitals, resulting in an IEH based on the data and results of these centers, as well as on perceptions. of the professionals who work in them.
